We just released a few highly requested features: Link component, URL Parameters, and Current User data. You’ll also notice a new left nav when you log in to Internal and configure a Space. More features coming to this left nav soon! 🎉

Link Component

Want to include a link to a website, document, or another business app from Internal — but don’t have the actual URL stored anywhere? No problem. With the new Link Component, you can easily add links to any Space. Links can be set up as templates, meaning they can dynamically pull in values from a Space to construct the URL.  Read the docs.

URL Parameters + Current User

You created an awesome Space in Internal, and now you want to make the Space more relevant to the task at hand or maybe even the logged-in user. Try binding to URL Parameters or Current User data.

• For example, if you have a Space that displays customer details (let’s call this Space “Customer Profile”), you may want to add the URL Parameter “customer_id” to the Space. By doing so, you can send users to the Customer Profile that matches a specific customer_id.Read the docs.
• Or, if you have a Space that displays a table of customers (let’s call this Space “All Customers”), you may want to filter the table by the Current User's “email”. Once you do that, an account manager at your company will see a table of companies filtered by their email address when they visit All Customers. Read the docs.
