Connecting to Data Sources

Data sources provide the data that your tools interact with. Internal can connect to the following data sources - click on each to learn more about each data source and how to set it up:

Looking for something that’s not currently supported? Drop us a note here and let us know what you’d like to see us add next.

If it’s your first data source and you just want to explore Internal, you can connect to Internal’s sample DB to get a quick idea of how Internal works.

Connection Note: To connect with Internal, your data source must be publicly accessible, with SSL encryption enabled, and configured to accept connections from Internal’s IP addresses:

  • 34.66.153.118/32
  • 35.225.125.80/32

Read-only Access: If you’re connecting a database, you can choose to give Internal read-only access or connect to a replica. Note that with read-only access, you will only be able to make edits via API. If you’d like, you can also create new database credentials for use with Internal.
